​1. What is the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET)?

Through passing the HiSET exam, individuals can obtain an alternative to a traditional high school diploma. The HiSET is recognized by many colleges and employers. Students’ preparation for and successful completion of the High School Equivalency Test can translate into better employment opportunities and increased self-sufficiency.

2. Am I eligible for HiSet classes?

Clients, patients, students, and associates of our partner organizations are eligible for our HiSet classes. We are currently looking for new partners! Contact us at english.classes@awlci.org to discuss a partnership. We also accept individual new students who are not affiliated with our partner organizations. ​​

 

3. How long is a typical course?

Classes run for 10-40 weeks

4. Are there one-on-one/individual classes?

On occasion, we offer free tutoring with volunteer instructors.
